Susan Valaskovic is Associate Director for International Programs and Training at the Ash Institute for Democratic Governance and Innovation at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government. Prior to joining the Ash Institute, she served as a deputy director of Vice President Al Gore's Reinventing Government staff in the United States, and as a principal advisor to President Vincente Fox's Office of Innovation and Quality in Mexico. She is a leading expert on federal government innovation and reform efforts. Valaskovic has consulted with mor than 30 sub-national and central governments, and has published articles on good government, principles of innovation, and customer service. She is a Phi Beta Kappa from Drake University, and has done graduate studies in public affairs and public administration.
