James Cooney is the Communities of Practice Coordinator for the Government Innovators Network. Before coming to the Ash Institute, he spent three years at the Judge Baker Children's Center in Boston, working as a research assistant on two projects investigating interventions designed to prevent depression in children and teenagers. He continues to work with Judge Baker as a co-author on manuscripts detailing the project's findings. He also writes creatively in his spare time, and is currently at work on his first novel. Jim graduated with a B.A. in psychology from Cornell University in 2002.
