Georgia Aris Kafantari


Administrative Officer, Hellenic Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, Greece


Georgia Aris Kafantari is currently an administrative officer of the Greek government’s Hellenic Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs. Previously, she was the Research and Study officer in the National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government (E.K.D.D.A), Hellenic Ministry of Interior, Public Administration, and Decentralization. In this position, she developed unit training programs on economic affairs, quantitative methods and decision analysis, public-private partnerships, local governance, and management of development aid. At the Ash Institute, Dr. Kafantari will be writing on Greece’s administrative reform since it gained membership in the European Monetary Union, with a special focus on the introduction of public-private partnerships as a new form of governance for delivering public sector infrastructure and services.
