Fauzya Moore has worked in bureaucracies in both the developed and developing world, and in her spare time has worked to build civil society organizations in Canada and the Caribbean, her countries of origin. She has published on human security and researched indigenous issues. As the senior economic policy advisor at the Americas Branch of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), she recently worked on Canada's re-engagement in the Americas. In the last two years she has promoted the issue of governance and social progress via CIDA panels at the prestigious Conference de Montreal in Canada. She has also spearheaded CIDA's contribution to free trade negotiations with developing countries in the Americas. She has a B.A. in history from Sussex University and a M.A. in international relations from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs, Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. |
