At the Harvard Kennedy School seminar “New Frontiers: US Indian Relations,” Vinay Rai explained how India's democratic government, education system, values, institutions, and entrepreneurship will continue to drive its success over the next half-century. Rai is an Indian industrialist, philanthropist, and president and founder of the Rai Foundation and Rai University. The Rai Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of education at all levels in India. He is the co-author of Think India: The Rise of the World’s Next Great Power and What it Means for Every American. Educated at Delhi University in India and MIT in the US, Rai is the former chairman and CEO of the Usha Group, a large Indian company that includes telecom and steel businesses.
